15 days on memberships

Within 15 days of the first payment for a Lab membership you can ask for a full refund, for any reason. For a yearly membership, the 15 days start again with each renewal. The Starter plan includes a market report, so it can be refunded only until that report has been asked for.

Reports and the studio’s services

Market reports, detailed reports and the studio’s other services, such as consulting and project work, are prepared for you by a person at the studio from the moment you ask for them. That is why the 15 days don’t apply to them and they are not refunded once requested. If a report reaches you after the promised date, write to hello@notbyaccident.studio.

How to ask

Write to hello@notbyaccident.studio from the email address on your account, or reply to the receipt Paddle sent you. To end a membership yourself, cancel it under Settings → Billing and write to us for the refund.

We reply to confirm and refund the full amount to the card or account you paid with. Paddle processes the refund; when it appears depends on your bank or card provider.

What happens to your access

When a purchase is refunded, what it opened closes: a refunded membership ends straight away. Your account, profile and data stay, so you can carry on with what is free or choose a plan again later.

After 15 days

You can still cancel a membership at any time under Settings → Billing. It stops renewing and stays active until the end of the month or year you have already paid for. Payments made more than 15 days earlier and monthly renewals are not refunded, and we do not refund part of a period.

Who handles payment

Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for Lab purchases: it charges you, issues the invoice and processes refunds. You can also reach Paddle about a charge through paddle.net.

Your legal rights

This policy adds to your rights under consumer law; it does not take any away. If you were charged by mistake, or The Lab did not work as described, write to us whenever you notice it.
